Hedley House

New-build House, Nottingham

The design for this new house is influenced by the neighbourhood context with its dense urban grain of terraced houses and mills. The site was created by demolishing an existing garage and outhouse adjacent to an early Victorian house.

The new house stands on the axis of a small, cobbled street and is overlooked on three boundaries. Despite the very restricted site, the design maximises the available space, views and light.
